Bergamot and spices start the perfume, and FragranceGems says this spiced start gives an immediate feeling of tension. Bergamot keeps the opening from turning heavy too quickly. Notice how long the citrus holds before leather and incense take over.

Leather and incense
Leather and incense form the heart and, per FragranceGems, give the perfume a smoky, mysterious depth. This is the stage that gives the name its mood. Smoky incense and leather can feel elegant on one skin and austere on another, so let it settle before judging.

Oud, amber and patchouli
The base is oud, amber and patchouli, which FragranceGems calls intense, dark and deep. Amber softens the darkest part a little. If oud and patchouli are new to you, this is the stage that decides whether this style suits you at all.

Try it on an evening in cool weather, on clean skin, with a light spray on the neck and another on the forearm, and give it time to move from spice to smoke. Wear it a second evening with less, since a strong perfume can feel very different at a lower dose. Compare both before deciding.

Do I need to like oud first?

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
