An unusual opening
Vanilla, saffron and jasmine start the perfume, which is not a typical green opening. Vanilla adds softness, saffron a leathery, slightly metallic spice, and jasmine a creamy floral touch. Expect something rounder than the name Green suggests.

A green and woody heart
Lavender and green leaves give the heart its fresh, herbal side, while cedar, amberwood, ambergris and light amber add wood and warmth. This is the most complex stage, with botanical freshness and earthy warmth working side by side.

Resin, earth and violet
Spruce resin, earthy notes, cedar and violet make up the base. The resin and earthy notes give a woody, forest-like finish, and violet adds a faint powdery softness at the edge. FragranceGems calls the result masculine and woody.

How to test it
Apply to a clean forearm and follow it in stages: first the vanilla and saffron, then the green heart as the day goes on, and finally the resin and violet in the evening. A second test on a different day helps you confirm which stage you like best.

Is it a fresh summer perfume?
FragranceGems lists it for autumn and winter and tags it fresh, oriental and woody. Do not assume a summer scent from the word Green; test it in the season you plan to wear it.
What will arrive in the package?
FragranceGems decants the perfume from the original bottle into a 10 ml glass spray vial, and the label on the vial is ours.
What does the violet do?
Violet closes the base after the resin, earthy notes and cedar. It adds a gentle, powdery edge to an otherwise woody finish, and a few test days show whether you notice it.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
