Ginger sharpens the citrus
The opening is Ginger and Bergamot. Ginger gives a cool, spicy edge, so the bergamot does not arrive as plain lemon-peel freshness. How strongly that edge registers on you, and how long it lasts before the citrus settles, is the first thing the sample can show.

Grapefruit in the middle
Grapefruit is the only recorded heart note. It brings a bitter-sweet, sparkling quality that keeps the move towards the base lively. Because it stands alone in this stage you can follow it closely and decide whether you like its slightly bitter side.

Musk and Ambroxan close it
The base is Musk and Ambroxan. Ambroxan adds a salty, skin-like warmth while musk gives a soft, clean finish. This last stage tells you whether the perfume stays fresh on you or settles into something quieter and closer.

How to test it
Wear it on a mild day with nothing else scented, one test at a time. Check the opening in the first minutes, the grapefruit in the middle of the afternoon and the musk at the close of the day. A second and third day, in a different setting such as a walk or a workday, will confirm the first impression.

What does the decant look like?
It is a small glass spray vial of 10 ml with our own label showing the perfume name. FragranceGems fills it from the original bottle, not Khadlaj.
Will the ginger be sharp?
Ginger is listed next to bergamot in the top, so a cool, spicy edge is likely at first. Skin and the amount you apply change how obvious it is, which is why a few wearings help.
Can I wear it to work?
The pyramid is light and clean, and FragranceGems tags it for work among other occasions. Try it at your desk for a day to see how it feels in your own environment.

Khadlaj Perfumes was founded in 1997 and is based in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, where it manufactures its own perfumes. The house describes its range as a mix of rich oud compositions, floral pieces and contemporary fresh perfumes, sorted into lines such as Karus, Shiyaaka and Onyx. Among the Khadlaj Eau de Parfum that FragranceGems carries as samples are one from each of those three lines plus two from Island.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
