Lavender, sage, nutmeg and bergamot
The opening is aromatic: lavender and sage give an herbal, slightly dry feel, nutmeg adds a trace of warm spice and bergamot keeps it bright. If you like a herbal, clean freshness, this first stretch will feel familiar. If not, it is useful to know that early.

Rosyfolia, geranium, cedarwood and mahonial
The heart blends geranium and cedarwood with two named ingredients, rosyfolia and mahonial. Geranium is leafy and floral, cedarwood dry and woody. How the named ingredients come across is something only a trial shows, which makes this the stage worth paying attention to when you wear the sample.

Cocoapulse, tonka bean, maple, ambrofix and patchouli
The base brings tonka bean, maple and patchouli together with cocoapulse and ambrofix. Tonka and maple point towards a soft sweetness and patchouli towards earth, while cocoapulse and ambrofix are effects only a trial can show. Wear it to the end of the day and see which side leads.

Put the decant on clean skin on a cool day or evening, as FragranceGems tags it for autumn and winter, and also try it at work. Smell it after the first minutes, once the lavender settles, and again later when the base arrives. A second day on a different skin condition, say after a shower, adds a second view.

What do the strange note names mean?
Rosyfolia, mahonial, cocoapulse and ambrofix are named in the recorded list as they are. We do not describe them further, so the surest check is to smell how they behave together on your skin.
Is it sweet?
Tonka bean and maple add sweetness in the base, while lavender, sage and cedarwood keep it dry and herbal. FragranceGems tags it as fresh, gourmand and woody, so the sample shows which side you pick up.
