Pear, bergamot, ginger, mandarin
The opening gathers pear, bergamot, ginger and mandarin orange. Pear gives a soft, juicy fruitiness, the citruses add sparkle and ginger puts a small warm edge under them. Spray once and note how ripe or crisp the pear feels, since it comes back in the next stage.

Pear, orange blossom, jasmine
In the heart the pear stays, now with orange blossom and jasmine. The two flowers give a creamy, honeyed floral shade to the fruit and carry the freshness into something rounder. Watch how the transition feels, and whether the flowers lead or support the pear.

Amber, musk, vanilla, guaiac, ambroxan
The base lists amber, musk, vanilla, guaiac wood and ambroxan. Amber and vanilla bring warmth and sweetness, musk keeps it close, guaiac wood adds a smoky, tea-like dryness and ambroxan gives a salty glow. Smell your wrist late in the evening and decide if it is rich enough or too rich.

Who makes the Nautilus decant?
FragranceGems does: it fills a glass spray vial from its own Mykonos bottle and labels it. Mykonos is a FragranceGems house, so the sample comes from the same people who made the perfume.
Why is pear listed twice?
The record names pear in the top and again in the heart. We keep both as recorded, so pear is a thread running through the first two stages before amber and vanilla take over.
Is it too heavy for summer?
FragranceGems tags it for summer and as strong, with amber, vanilla and guaiac wood in the base. A sample shows on your own skin whether it feels warm and pleasant or too much in the heat.

Mykonos is an Indonesian perfume house with a Mediterranean name. Its motto is "Born in Indonesia. Built for the world", the perfumes are produced in Indonesia and most of them are Extrait de Parfum, with a few Eau de Parfum. The range in Europe counts 49 perfumes across six scent families. A sample is the easiest way to find out which of those families suits your skin before you choose a 50 ml or 100 ml bottle.
