Coconut, fig and mint form the heart. FragranceGems calls it green and exotic, with mint giving an ice-cold contrast to the creamy texture of fig and coconut. This is the stage in which the word tropical in the name has to prove itself.

It is tagged for spring and summer and for daily and sport wear, so try it on a warm day when you are active. Apply once, then notice whether the mint stays cool or melts into the coconut. A second test in a cooler setting shows how the fresh opening holds up when the weather does not help.

Is it sweet like a coconut dessert?
Coconut appears in the top as water and in the heart as coconut, but fig leaf, ginger and mint pull it towards green and fresh. FragranceGems also tags it gourmand, so some sweetness is expected.

FragranceGems describes it as one of the city's most renowned houses and carries the Hawas series as samples: eleven Eau de Parfum that share a name and a fresh, masculine idea but differ in temperature, from the icy Hawas Ice to the amber-heavy Hawas Highness. A sample set is the only sensible way to tell the Hawas versions apart.
