How to test them

Ask someone you trust what they notice, because your own nose adapts quickly. Note what you think each time, and read your notes back at the end of the week. Spray it on the inside of your wrist or elbow and do not rub. Apply one or two sprays to clean skin, without other scented products nearby.

A decant of 2, 5 or 10 ml lets you wear it on several days before you decide about a full bottle. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. Start with 2, 5 or 10 ml and give it a few days, so that the first impression is not the only one.

How were these samples chosen?

By the tags and note lists on record for each perfume. Nothing was added from memory, the order is not a ranking, and perfumes without recorded notes are described without notes.

Which sizes do the samples come in?

Every sample comes as 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial. The smallest is enough for a first impression, the larger ones for many wearings.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
