Citrus, lavender, cardamom
Bergamot and mandarin make a juicy, light start, lavender and cardamom add an aromatic, faintly spicy edge. Nothing here is sweet or heavy yet. Spend the first few minutes noticing how composed it feels, because the brand frames this as the calm side of the sea god.

A quiet floral centre
Green tea keeps the heart clean and slightly dry, with geranium, orange blossom and jasmine sambac laying softness over it. It is not a loud bouquet. The question for a test is whether this restrained, tea-like floral suits you or feels too understated.

No. The brand sells Neptune's Trident only as an Extrait de Parfum, so the decant you receive is of that single version, filled from the 100 ml bottle.
What am I actually getting?
A 10 ml decant in a glass spray vial, filled by FragranceGems from the original bottle and labelled by us. It is not an official brand sample, and we are not affiliated with the house.
Is it sweet?
Not in the way a vanilla perfume is. The pyramid has bergamot, green tea, jasmine sambac, iris and sandalwood, with ambergris and labdanum for resin. Expect clean, aromatic and floral rather than sugary.
Does the liquid colour matter?

About Argos
Argos is a Texan house, founded in Dallas in 2014 by the self-trained perfumer Christian Petrovich, and every one of its perfumes retells a Greek or Roman myth. The style is rich and layered: rum and tobacco, roses and raspberry, citrus over cashmere wood and Mysore sandalwood, blended and macerated in the brand's own laboratory in France. Because each perfume is built as a story with a long base, a 10 ml decant tells you more than any spray on paper.
