Bright citrus and pink pepper
The scent starts with bergamot, grapefruit and pink peppercorn, a clear, slightly spiky lift before the flowers arrive. It is a short first act, and on a sample it tells you quickly whether the freshness suits you or you would rather skip to the rose.

A heart built around rose
Bulgarian rose leads, with Sambac jasmine, vanilla, raspberry and chestnut around it. The brand tells the myth of a white rose turned crimson, and the heart follows it: a floral centre with a red-fruit sweetness and a soft, nutty roundness.

About Argos
Argos is a Texan house, founded in Dallas in 2014 by the self-trained perfumer Christian Petrovich, and every one of its perfumes retells a Greek or Roman myth. The style is rich and layered: rum and tobacco, roses and raspberry, citrus over cashmere wood and Mysore sandalwood, blended and macerated in the brand's own laboratory in France. Because each perfume is built as a story with a long base, a 10 ml decant tells you more than any spray on paper.
