Charisma is a Parfum from Assaf. On paper it is built around Amber, Bergamot, Citrus fruits, Musk, Oud, Patchouli and Spices. The small size, 2, 5 or 10 ml, is meant for exactly that: a few honest wearings before anything bigger. Pay attention to what is still there by the evening, since that is the part you live with longest.

The recorded notes
On paper, Charisma consists of Amber, Bergamot, Citrus fruits, Musk, Oud, Patchouli and Spices. We print the list exactly as recorded, with no tiers added. Wear it on more than one day before you make up your mind. What reads as sweet on one person can read as dry on another.

Family and strength
Charisma carries the family labels citrus, oriental and woody. Labels like these help you sort a long list, and wearing it does the actual judging. The recorded strength is moderate. One wearing shows a mood, several wearings show the perfume.

What you receive
A decant is perfume poured over from the original bottle into a smaller one. For Charisma that means a glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml with our label on it. Glass does not react with perfume, so what you smell is the perfume itself.

How to test it
FragranceGems places Assaf Charisma in autumn and winter, which tells you when a first test makes most sense. FragranceGems files it under evenings and special occasions. Check it after a few minutes, around midday and in the evening.
Who it is for
According to FragranceGems, Charisma is for everyone (unisex). It also works for anyone who wants a small vial for travel or a bag. If you already know the house, a decant lets you check whether this one fits next to what you own.
Why try Assaf Charisma as a sample first
Trying before owning saves shelf space and regret. We decant from the original bottle and label the vial ourselves. Assaf does not make or endorse these samples; it is not an official brand sample. When the sample convinces you, the full bottle is part of the FragranceGems range.

We start with a full bottle of the perfume. Nothing is diluted, mixed or added.

Filled by hand into a clean glass spray vial of 2, 5 or 10 ml and closed straight after filling.

Our own label names the brand, the perfume, the concentration and the size.

Is this a sample made by Assaf?
No. It is not an official brand sample. FragranceGems decants Charisma from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labels it; the house is not involved.
Why are the notes not split into top, heart and base?
Because the record for Assaf Charisma gives one flat list: Amber, Bergamot, Citrus fruits, Musk, Oud, Patchouli and Spices. We print notes exactly as recorded and never sort them into a pyramid ourselves.
How should I keep the vial?
Closed, upright if possible, and away from heat and direct sunlight, the same way you would keep a full bottle. That keeps Charisma as it was when we filled it.

About Assaf
Assaf makes Arabian perfumes with character, a warm oriental signature and, as FragranceGems puts it, a range that runs from elegant daytime scents to rich evening compositions. We have not found a brand site to quote, so this page rests on FragranceGems' own data. Among the Assaf samples is Assaf Attacks, an Eau de Parfum: a green, spicy vetiver scent that is more restrained than its name. A sample is the way to find that out.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
