Saffron and spices up front
The opening is saffron with spices, a peppery start that FragranceGems calls spicy. It announces itself right away, so spray once and notice whether the saffron feels warm and rich to you or sharp. If it seems too sharp at first, wait a minute and smell again.

Tobacco and cedar
In the heart, tobacco gives a smoky, dry sweetness and cedar a clean woody frame. The recorded text calls the result smoky and woody. This is the point at which you learn whether you like tobacco next to cedar, and whether the smoke feels dry or sweet on you.

A sweet finish
Amber and vanilla close the perfume with warmth and sweetness. After the dry smoke of the middle, the base should feel rounder and softer. Smell your skin once more late in the evening to see how sweet it really ends for you.

Is The Hype very sweet?
FragranceGems lists vanilla and amber in the base and tags the perfume gourmand. The saffron and tobacco in front dry the sweetness a little, but only wearing it shows the balance.
Is it a good first test for saffron?
A decant is exactly suited to that. If saffron or tobacco turns out not to be your note, you will know after a couple of wearings rather than after a full bottle.
Can I wear it in the daytime?
FragranceGems lists evening, special occasions and the colder seasons. Daytime in warm weather falls outside that, so test the sample on a cool evening first.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
