A juicy start
Bergamot, blackcurrant, African marigold and South African buchu make up the top. The brand calls the opening bright and juicy, and buchu and marigold are the parts you will not meet in every perfume. Watch how the start changes on your skin as the heart takes over.

What is in the 10 ml vial?
Eau de Parfum from the original Byredo 50 ml bottle, decanted by FragranceGems into a glass spray vial and labelled by us. Byredo is not involved, and the decant does not come from the brand.
Is it floral, fruity or woody?
The brand files it as floral. On skin you meet fruit on top, flowers in the heart and cedarwood and vetiver underneath, so the sample shows which of the three you notice most.
What do buchu and marigold add?
They are the two less common notes next to bergamot and blackcurrant. The brand lists them as South African buchu and African marigold. Testing shows how much of that difference you notice in the opening.

About Byredo
Byredo was founded in Stockholm in 2006 by Ben Gorham and turns memories and emotions into scent: a dance in Africa, a desert flower, a library, a nomadic life. The Eau de Parfums are built on a small library of raw materials, ambrette, sandalwood, violet, vetiver, and most of them stay transparent and close to the skin. That restraint is exactly why a sample helps: on paper they can seem simple, on skin they settle into something personal.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
