Fig Infusion is Nathalie Lorson's Eau de Parfum for Essential Parfums, written around the light of a sunny day in the south of France. A big fig lit by mandarin and clementine opens it, freesia, orange blossom and Sri Lankan black tea fill the heart, and cedarwood, sandalwood and benzoin close it. A fig with light on it
The brand describes a big fig lit by mandarin and clementine. You meet the fruit first, juicy and slightly green, with the two small citrus fruits adding brightness rather than sourness. The tone from the first spray is open and friendly.

Freesia is airy and fresh, orange blossom soft and white-floral, and Sri Lankan black tea runs through them with a dry, slightly tannic line. The tea matters here: it stops the flowers from drifting into sweetness and gives the heart a calm, clear shape.

Virginian cedarwood, sandalwood and benzoin make the base, which the brand calls a comforting wood. Cedar contributes dryness, sandalwood a creamy touch, and benzoin a gentle balsamic sweetness. The fruit fades slowly into warmth rather than ending abruptly.

Is it a sweet fruity perfume?
Fruity at the start, yes, with fig, mandarin and clementine. Black tea, cedarwood and sandalwood keep it away from sugary territory, and benzoin adds a soft sweetness only at the end.
Does it work in more than one season?
Mostly, going by the notes: fresh fig and citrus suit warm weather, while cedarwood, sandalwood and benzoin stay comforting in cool weather. A sample lets you test both ends.

Essential Parfums was started in Paris in 2018 by Géraldine Archambault after thirty years in the industry, with one rule: a different perfumer for every eau de parfum, working freely and signing the bottle. The brand states 16 to 18% concentration and 82 to 93% ingredients of natural origin, alcohol from beetroot and no added colour. The results are clear and uncluttered, which is why a sample tells you quickly whether a bottle belongs on your shelf.
