Cherry meets saffron
Black cherry gives the opening a deep, dark sweetness, and saffron cuts across it with a leathery, slightly metallic warmth. Bergamot keeps the first minutes from closing in. Expect a start of fruit and spice rather than a fresh one, which is worth knowing before you spray.

Praline and warm spice
At the heart cinnamon and nutmeg bring warm spice, praline adds a nutty, creamy sweetness, and marigold and jasmine lay a soft floral layer over it. The mixture is thick and sweet. Some wearers enjoy that and some find it heavy, so this is the stage where the sample is most useful.

Sandalwood, tonka, amber and musk
The base is built from sandalwood, tonka bean, amber and musk: creamy wood, a sweet almond-like softness, resinous warmth and a skin-like finish. Once the spice has calmed it leaves a warm, woody and slightly sweet trace close to the skin.

Choose an evening or a cold day, since FragranceGems lists it for evenings and special occasions in autumn and winter. Apply a small amount to clean skin and come back after the cherry and saffron have eased. Test on at least two separate days, because sweet spiced perfumes shift with weather and skin.

Cherry, praline, tonka bean and amber all lean sweet, while saffron, cinnamon and nutmeg add spice against it. FragranceGems lists it as a gourmand with oriental and woody sides. Try it in cool weather first.

Mykonos is an Indonesian perfume house with a Mediterranean name. Its motto is "Born in Indonesia. Built for the world", the perfumes are produced in Indonesia and most of them are Extrait de Parfum, with a few Eau de Parfum. The range in Europe spans six scent families. A sample is the easiest way to find out which of those families suits your skin before you choose a 50 ml or 100 ml bottle.

Shipping was 5 days to Finland. Customer service was very good. Happy with the product also. Will shop again.
