Transitional warmth
Bujairami Vibration is the easiest start. It is tagged moderate for autumn and winter, daily wear, special occasions and work. The top is grapefruit, bergamot, magnolia and jasmine, the heart ginger, and the base musk, cedar, orris root, patchouli and amber.
Alezz Oud Hersh 2 pairs citrus with incense and tea. The top reads lemon, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange, the heart Nigerian ginger, Tunisian orange blossom and cinnamon, and the base ambroxan, Chinese black tea, incense and guaiac wood. It is tagged moderate for autumn and winter.
Mykonos Dreamscape mixes fruit and spice with praline: mango, Italian lemon and rhubarb on top, ginger, jasmine, violet, praline and pink pepper in the heart, and cedar, grey amber, tonka bean and moss below. Spice and resin
Arabiyat Prestige Al Noor is the spiced fig. The top is cardamom, nutmeg and saffron, the heart fig, iris, labdanum and vetiver, and the base leather, tonka bean, patchouli and vanilla. It is tagged strong, for autumn and winter evenings.
Argos Triumph of Bacchus goes toward rum and tobacco. Its top is saffron, rum, white peach and green apple, its heart patchouli, jasmine, tonka bean and vetiver, and its base tobacco, amber, Mysore sandalwood, musk and vanilla. It carries the strong tag.
Wood, green and flowers
Dumont Nitro Green is the woodland one. The top is vanilla, saffron and jasmine, the heart lavender, green leaves, cedar, amberwood, ambergris and light amber, and the base spruce resin, earthy notes, cedar and violet. Spruce resin and green leaves give it an autumn-forest character, and it is tagged moderate.
Velixir Athena softens autumn with flowers: lychee, grapefruit and rhubarb on top, Bulgarian rose, freesia and vanilla in the heart, and akigalawood, musk, orris root and vetiver at the base. It is tagged moderate for autumn and winter.
Amouage Guidance is the elegant one. The Eau de Parfum is tagged moderate, and the record reads pear, frankincense and hazelnut first, then saffron, rose, jasmine sambac and osmanthus, and cistus, sandalwood, akigalawood, ambergris and vanilla.
What the eight share

How to choose and test
If you are new to warm perfumes, begin with Vibration or Hersh 2 and keep the spray count low. Move to Dreamscape, Athena or Guidance once you like the direction, and to Al Noor and Triumph of Bacchus when you want spice at full volume. Wear each on a cool day, and remember that scarves and coats hold perfume longer than skin, so one spray is plenty.
