How to test them

Keep the rest of the vial for a second and third try in other weather. Start light; you can always add a spray on the next wearing. Wear it on at least three different days before you decide. Check it after a few minutes, around midday and in the evening.

A sample is the sensible first step: a perfume on paper and a perfume on skin are rarely the same thing. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. With 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial you can find out how it behaves on your skin, at your own pace.

By the tags and note lists on record for each perfume. Nothing was added from memory, the order is not a ranking, and perfumes without recorded notes are described without notes.

Which sizes do the samples come in?

Every sample comes as 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial. The smallest is enough for a first impression, the larger ones for many wearings.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
