How to test them

Wear it on at least three different days before you decide. Keep the rest of the vial for a second and third try in other weather. Leave other perfumes off that day, so nothing interferes. Try it once at home and once outdoors, since air and temperature change the impression.

Start with 2, 5 or 10 ml and give it a few days, so that the first impression is not the only one. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. A decant gives you time with it, which a quick spray on a paper strip never does.

Questions

Are these samples made by the brands?

No. They are decants: FragranceGems fills each one from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labels it. They are not official brand samples.

How many samples should I try at once?

Two or three is a good number. Wear one per day, on clean skin, and write down what you notice in the morning and in the evening before you move to the next.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
