How to test them

Spray it on the inside of your wrist or elbow and do not rub. Try it once at home and once outdoors, since air and temperature change the impression. Test it on skin and not only on paper. Note what you think each time, and read your notes back at the end of the week.

With 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial you can find out how it behaves on your skin, at your own pace. Keep short notes per perfume; after a week the choice usually makes itself. A sample is the sensible first step: a perfume on paper and a perfume on skin are rarely the same thing.

How many samples should I try at once?

Two or three is a good number. Wear one per day, on clean skin, and write down what you notice in the morning and in the evening before you move to the next.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
