How to test them

Spray it on the inside of your wrist or elbow and do not rub. Use it the way you would use a full bottle, on a normal day. Test it on skin and not only on paper. Ask someone you trust what they notice, because your own nose adapts quickly.

Trying it as a sample first means your decision rests on wearing it, not on a description. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. Start with 2, 5 or 10 ml and give it a few days, so that the first impression is not the only one.

Are these samples made by the brands?

No. They are decants: FragranceGems fills each one from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labels it. They are not official brand samples.

Why do some perfumes show no notes?

Because we only print notes we can trace to a source. Where no note list is on record, the page says so and leaves the judging to your own skin.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
