How to test them

Check it after a few minutes, around midday and in the evening. Ask someone you trust what they notice, because your own nose adapts quickly. Note what you think each time, and read your notes back at the end of the week. Try it once at home and once outdoors, since air and temperature change the impression.

Start with 2, 5 or 10 ml and give it a few days, so that the first impression is not the only one. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. A decant gives you time with it, which a quick spray on a paper strip never does.

No. They are decants: FragranceGems fills each one from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labels it. They are not official brand samples.

Why do some perfumes show no notes?

Because we only print notes we can trace to a source. Where no note list is on record, the page says so and leaves the judging to your own skin.
