How to test them

Keep the rest of the vial for a second and third try in other weather. Start light; you can always add a spray on the next wearing. Spray it on the inside of your wrist or elbow and do not rub. Try it once at home and once outdoors, since air and temperature change the impression.

A decant of 2, 5 or 10 ml lets you wear it on several days before you decide about a full bottle. Keep short notes per perfume; after a week the choice usually makes itself. A decant gives you time with it, which a quick spray on a paper strip never does.

Are these samples made by the brands?

No. They are decants: FragranceGems fills each one from the original bottle into a glass spray vial and labels it. They are not official brand samples.

Which sizes do the samples come in?

Every sample comes as 2, 5 or 10 ml in a glass spray vial. The smallest is enough for a first impression, the larger ones for many wearings.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
