How to test them

Wear it on at least three different days before you decide. Use it the way you would use a full bottle, on a normal day. Check it after a few minutes, around midday and in the evening. Note what you think each time, and read your notes back at the end of the week.

A decant gives you time with it, which a quick spray on a paper strip never does. Give every sample its own day, and come back to the one you keep thinking about. Trying it as a sample first means your decision rests on wearing it, not on a description.

How were these samples chosen?

By the tags and note lists on record for each perfume. Nothing was added from memory, the order is not a ranking, and perfumes without recorded notes are described without notes.

Why do some perfumes show no notes?

Because we only print notes we can trace to a source. Where no note list is on record, the page says so and leaves the judging to your own skin.

What is a decant?

Perfume moved from the original bottle into a smaller vial. Ours are filled by FragranceGems into glass spray vials and labelled by us, so you can wear a perfume before you decide on a bottle.
